Questions about measurement devices

Must I have my blood pressure measurement device inspected regularly for accuracy?

Blood pressure measurement devices which have been marketed under the Medical Products Law carry the CE mark stating the place of certification and thus are subject to the operating authority with regard to technical inspection. These devices cannot and must not be recalibrated, but are inspected for accuracy. For private users, there is no obligation for regular technical inspections. Depending on the frequency of use and conditions of use, however, it can be useful to have the device inspected every two years. On the other hand, professional users such as doctors and pharmacists are obliged to have regular technical inspections at intervals of no more than two years.
