Questions about methods of blood pressure measurement

Why does oscillometric measurement fail in some users?

There are differences from one person to another with regard to the position and depth of the blood vessels, differences in their structure and the proportion of fat and muscle tissue and differences in the strength of the pulse signals. All of these factors lead to effects on the algorithms in the blood pressure measuring devices. If a few unfavourable factors coincide, meaningful analysis of the pulse signals by the algorithm is sometimes not possible.
