Questions about blood pressure measurement in general

Why should the blood pressure always be measured at the same time of day?

Many functions of the human body are subject to biological diurnal rhythms, which show characteristic fluctuations when environmental conditions remain the same. Blood pressure, too, is subject to a constant diurnal rhythm: it rises in the morning, shortly before getting up, falls in the afternoon, and rises again in the early evening. The blood pressure is at its lowest in the night. In order to be able to compare blood pressure readings with one another, it should always be measured at the same times. The blood pressure measured in the morning cannot be compared with that measured in the evening.
