Questions about blood pressure measurement in general

Why is it useful to document the blood pressure readings in a diary?

Single measurements are only instantaneous values and do not give an accurate picture of the level of the blood pressure in the course of a day or several days. You should therefore measure it two or three times a day, always at the same time. Record the readings together with the date and time and the drugs taken in a blood pressure diary. The blood pressure readings recorded over a longer period will give your doctor a valuable basis for optimising treatment.
